Build the path in the open

The canvas makes every intended customer outcome visible before the workflow reaches a live WhatsApp number.

Start with the shape you need

Begin from a template category, ask for an AI draft, or place the first node on a blank canvas. A template gives a known starting path while the canvas stays editable node by node.

Use a blank workflow when your business action or conversation structure is specific to your operation.

Keep multiple flows deliberate

A workflow can contain multiple flows with one defined entry flow for the first customer message. This keeps a shared utility or later journey separate from the path that starts the conversation.

Name entry points and transitions so the canvas explains where each branch begins and returns.

Draw every outcome

Connect explicit success, failure, answered, not-found, and handoff paths rather than assuming a node always succeeds. Each branch is a visible decision your team can inspect in the canvas.

A handoff path can pause automation when the operation needs a person and a failure path can preserve the reason for review.

Capture structured variables

Store answers such as order ID, service choice, or delivery date in variables as the conversation progresses. Conditions and later nodes can reference those structured values instead of relying on a transcript alone.

Variable names make the information available to a business action, HTTP node, or a person receiving a handoff.

Use native WhatsApp interactions

Choose WhatsApp interaction types that fit the question, including messages and structured reply choices. The node makes the interaction explicit so a customer response has a predictable next branch.

Design around the interaction type and approved templates available to the connected WhatsApp Business account.

Reuse only implemented building blocks

Build the workflow with the nodes and flows available in the current workspace. Reusable subflows or components can reduce duplication when that capability is implemented.

Until then, keep shared logic legible through clearly named flows and explicit transitions rather than claiming a reusable component system exists.

Put the customer journey on a canvas your team can inspect.

Start with a template or a blank workflow, then test every visible branch before publishing.
